The author presents parallels between the views of N. F. Fedorov on the trinity of the library, archive, museum and the essential similarity of these social groups. The idea of N. F. Fedorov about the museum (archive, library) as the “council of persons” is interpreted as the notion of “museum (archive, library) — a social institution”, the structure of which the author represents in the form of the system of two interacting and interdependent elements: subject of propose and subject of demand. The subject of propose is the creator (manufacturer) of some product; the subject of the demand is the consumer. The structural identity of the notions “archive”, “library”, “museum” as defined by a schematic of their content displays the basic similarity of these institutions that creates a (archival, library, museum) document that is particular only to them and provides it to the use of the public. The similarity of archives, libraries, museums determines their modern convergence and the ability to exist in a unified organizational form, denoted by a new term “lambrary”. The archival science, library science and museology, studying the communication that is carried out in the archives, libraries and museums, they can be combined in a single classification field under one name.
