SYMBOLICS OF STRUCTURE OF THE DWELLING: SOCIOCULTURAL SENSE
Abstract
Th is article presents the dwelling`s concept as microcosm of culture. Symbolical mechanisms of representation of image of the universe, objectifi ed in elements of a structure of the dwelling are considered on the example of traditional dwelling. Th e dwelling is equated with ordered cosmos, whereas the external space corresponds with chaotic energies. Research of symbolism of the dwelling is related with study of the world of everyday life which is considered a uniform basis of a variety of phenomena and senses of culture. Comprehension of symbolism of the dwelling is represented as addition to the concept of the dwelling which has developed within the frame of history of everyday life where the dwelling appears as a space free from policy and preserving the world of tradition.
