Abstract

Th e article examines the historical and cultural background of classical Eurasianism. In this connection, it analyzes concepts by L. P. Karsavina, N. S. Trubetskoi, P. N. Savitsky, P. M. Bitsilli. On this basis, it argues the original methodology of history in concepts of Eurasians and identifi es its characteristics. An important place in this article is occupied by a study of Eurasian cultural-philosophical ideology of national identity, which reveals its inconsistency. Refs. 7.
