RUSSIAN DISPUTE ON NIETZSCHE AT THE TURN OF THE XX–XXI CENTURIES
Abstract
Th e purpose of the article is to outline the main features of the portrait of “Russian Nietzsche” in the beginning of the XXI century, to reveal tendencies, problems and stereotypes of perception of Nietzsche’s ideas in Russia nowadays, more precisely in the years 1988–2013. Th e attention of the author of the article is concentrating on the three key vectors of interpretation of Nietzsche’s heritage in Russia today: religious, which has been launched by paradigm of understanding of Nietzsche’s ideas in Silver Age of Russian culture on the turn of the XIX–XX centuries; political, which is based on Nietzsche’s criticism of communism, nazism, religious fundamentalism, his appeals to search of new interpretations of democracy, liberalism, socialism and conservatism; the strategic approach, which is appealing to Nietzsche’s project of philosophy as creation of new values and myths.
