Abstract
Th is article contains an interpretation of a treatise called Perception, written by Oxford philosopher Henry Price in the fi rst half of the twentieth century. We tried not to replicate, but to reveal some of the most interesting ideas and arguments of this book. Although the theory of sense-data is now part of the history of analytic philosophy, some of the issues raised at that time are still discussed. Th ese include: problem of status of delusions and hallucinations, question about causal connections between phenomenal experience and events of the outside world, role of metaphysics for this fi eld of research.
