THE SOCIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ENTERPRISE AS A MECHANISM IN THE PREVENTION OF LABOUR CONFLICTS.
Abstract
Th e article raises the topic of the prevention of labour confl icts in enterprises. Enterprises are the main constituents of production, one of the conditions for the socio-economic development of society. Confl icts are an integral element in the vital activity of the modern organisation. Th e implementation of social functions in an enterprise is one of the most important mechanisms for preventing labour confl icts. To date, there is no single view on the system of social functions of enterprise. Th e article analyses the approaches of diff erent investigators towards this theme and substantiates the author’s point of view on the system of social functions in enterprise. Th e social basis of an enterprise consists of the labour collective. Enterprise as a social system includes a personal component (the individual employee, the social group, the labour collective), as well as an impersonal one (social infrastructure, working conditions and security of labour, aft er-hours and the use of leisure, a system of norms and values). Th e social functions of an enterprise should refl ect the interconnection and interaction of these subsystems. Consideration of an enterprise as an open system has allowed the allocation of internal social functions, or functions of the labour collective (i.e. aimed at the reproduction of employees), as well as external social functions, functions of participation in public life. In addition, the social functions of the enterprise are divided into general and specifi c. Refs 7. Fig 1.
