ON THE TYPOLOGY OF RELIGIOUS AESTHETICISM (KONSTANTIN LEONTIEV AND PAVEL FLORENSKY)
Abstract
Th is article is about the phenomenon of aestheticism in Russian XIX–XX centuriy religious philosophy, the general preconditions causing their emergence, and also similar phenomena in other cultures. Th e paper researches into various problems of philosophical knowledge: ontology, social philosophy, aesthetics. Th e author examines the relevant aspects of the aesthetic and philosophical concepts of the conservative direction (Konstantin Leontiev and Pavel Florensky). Similarities and diff erences are revealed between the concepts of these authors in the article. Th e author shows the inclusion of the concepts by Leontiev and Florensky in Orthodox tradition. Th e author points out that the diff erences between these concepts should be attributed to their belonging to diff erent philosophical currents — Platonism and Aristotelianism. Refs 14.
