CURRENT PROBLEMS OF «INFORMATION» SOCIETY
Abstract
Th e article presents an analysis of the concepts of “information society”, proposed by D. Bell, G. Schiller, A. Toffl er, M. Castells, M. Poster, N. N. Moiseev, T. Roszak, and others. It highlights two important aspects: the criteria for assessing the state of modern society which allow us to talk about the formation of the information society, and the problem of information management. Th e author draws attention to the contradictions of the spread of information technologies in all spheres of human activity, including education and training. Th e characteristics of the modern “educated” person are determined.
