AT THE CRADLE OF THE EUROPEAN RATIONALITY: BORDERS OF DISCOURSES OF PHILOSOPHY
Abstract
Th e problem of borders of philosophy and the European rationality is considered in the article. It is shown that the philosophy does not represent a uniform discoursive practice, and acts in the history of thinking in the form of the various discourses having the various purposes, problems and means of their decision. Th e rupture between alien and own for the European rationality represents rather a serious problem and consequently the idea of universality of the European reason, illusory representation, allowed to ignore for a long time the fact that for the European rationality there can be something alien. Such attributes of the European rationality as polyphony, pluralism and individual authorship, are opposed to other types of rationality. Borders of the European rationality come to light within the frames of the West European philosophy by means of Derrida's deconstruction and of phenomenological method. Th e article notes special possibilities that phenomenology has. Refs 9.
