WHAT IT MEANS TO SAY “YES” (ACCORDING TO NIETZSCHE AND NOT ONLY)
Abstract
Th e article deals with Nietzsche’s idea of affi rmation of life. Author claims that the idea belongs to the late Nietzsche and is linked with the image of child in legend of spirit’s transformation. To expound on the idea author gives a detailed description of some moments of value production in Nietzsche’s philosophy. Th ese moments are “eternal recurrence”, “gift -giving virtue” and “joy”. Th ese moments are compared with the experience of the positive and the negative. In the article the two types of experience are analyzed and it is established in what sense the two refer to what is pro and what is contra. Author suggests that it is possible to invent the notions of pro-movement and contra-movement and to defi ne some aspects of the notions. Based on this analysis, the author comes to the possibility of comparing the Nietzsche’s idea of life-affi rmation with the notion of pro-movement.
