Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation , dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Leningrad State University (1970–1978), Honorary Professor of St. Petersburg State University and a professor in the department of social philosophy and philosophy of history Vladimir Grigoryevich Marahov is interviewed by SpbSU Bulletin Series 17 publishing editor I. D. Osipov. Th e problems of development of the philosophy of science in Russia and abroad, the history and future of philosophy and philosophical education in Russia, are discussed. Refs 3.
