“Digital culture” vs “analog culture”

Abstract

Development of information society generates total informatization that has led to information and communication technologies interfering in culture space. Turning from means of development of culture into a new cultural phenomenon, these technologies generate new cultural fi elds which are a formation basis of “digital culture”. Separate fragments of cultural “kernel”, that results in the mosaic partial perception of space of culture taken out from its overall context. Th e article discusses an interaction between the “digital culture” and “analog culture”, which is a “kernel” of human civilization. Processes of preservation and translation of “kernel” of culture as a result of informatization of cultural space are subject to the philosophical analysis; the arisen problem of transfer of a cultural code in the conditions of development of “digital culture” is analyzed. In addition, it attempts to predict further development as of a cultural space, in general, and transformation of “cultural kernels”.
