Abstract

Th e article regards relations between history of philosophy and history of education as it appears in the history of world and Russian culture. Th e analysis of general history of education of the spirit and the analysis of the evolution of the word modernization in Russian gives us the opportunity to make a conclusion that modern stage of the Russian educational history demands not to continue its modernization but to stop it and to construct genuine system of education on the philosophical basis. Th e author asserts that only logical content of classical philosophical thought could become such a basis. History of philosophy as philosophical science which proves that history of philosophy is indivisible process of the historical development of the rational thought should promote the further development of this content.
