Confl ictological Monitoring of Educational Activities
Abstract
The article deals with the possibilities of confl ictological monitoring of the educational activities in higher education institutions. It sets out the reasons and types of conflicts faced by modern educational institutions in the implementation of educational activities. Besides the confl icts involving subjects of such activities, it describes the conflicts that arise during creating the conditions to implement the educational process, for example, providing the accommodation, catering, and etc. Authors describe the essence of the monitoring and pinpoints the need to build a comprehensive program on conflict management in the organization. The paper describes the principles of monitoring necessary to obtain the relevant information. Among these maybe mentioned the use of quantitative and qualitative research methods, involvement of a group of professionals. In addition, authors describe main characteristics of monitoring: data collection methods, parameters, sampling, questioning tools, time for collecting the primary information. Separately, it emphasizes the need to introduce revised studies that will provide information on the dynamics of educational activities development. Analyzing the complexity of conflictological monitoring, authors examine the concept and types of conflict management. Also, the article deals with confl ict management technology, with special attention being paid to facilitative seminars, conflictological counseling, negotiation and mediation.
