PROBLEMS OF UNITY OF SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE
Abstract
Th e article considers the opportunities for coordination of methods of natural science, social science and the humanities in interdisciplinary research. Transformation of the dilemma of understanding and explanation during development of social sciences is explored. Limits of use of quantitative methods and necessity of supplementing them with qualitative analysis are shown. Ideas of supporters of the qualitative approach to the analysis of scientifi c knowledge are reconstructed. Authors have tried to solve a problem of unity of knowledge by connection structurally functional and hermeneutic approaches. Th e article off ers a methodological project in which representative and constructive techniques of knowledge are combined.
