FEATURES OF VALUE LEGITIMATION IN PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITIES
Abstract
Article deals with research of specifi c ways of a substantiation by representatives of various professional communities of the valuable priorities. Th ree types of value legitimation are considered in it: traditional, emotional and rational, which diff er in the way they substantiate the personal belief in priority of some vital purposes over other, opposite vital purposes. Th ese types are ideal designs which in various combinations are used by representatives of professional communities for the justifi cation of their valuable choice. Individuals in the course of community integration are compelled to choose between the diverse vital purposes. Th e personal justifi cation and a substantiation of a valuable choice is a refl ection of the collective justifi cation of that specifi c set of valuable priorities which distinguishes one community from another. On the basis of generalization of the quantitative and qualitative data in article characteristic combinations for concrete professional communities of various ways of a substantiation of the priority vital purposes come to light. Th e analysis of the empirical data allowed to establish that professional communities have specifi c structures of valuable priorities, and also specifi c structures for the legitimation of these priorities. Th e character of valuable priorities of professional communities’ representatives causes character legitimation of these priorities. Refs 11. Fig 1. Tables 3.
