Conflict studies of the responsibility

Abstract

Major social actors often delegate their right to defend their conflict interests to the state, if the object of a conflict is “the common good”. Thus, the state becomes responsible for satisfying their interests. This phenomenon is described as the conflict responsibility. Specific relationships that occur as a result of the interaction between the state and an instant of the responsibility require an in-depth research in terms of the conflict studies for effective management of social contradictions. The article analyzes an interrelation between the concepts of responsibility in conflict and conflict responsibility, basis and mechanisms of the conflict responsibility, main parties of this relationship. Interpreting the classical conflict studies by Simmel, Coser, Dahrendorf, the author proposes his own method to analyze the state`s activities by determining the level of conflict responsibility or irresponsibility in the state management of social conflicts. The article draws a conclusion that the category of the conflict responsibility has a considerable scientific potential to study social conflicts.
